Not going to buy these.... if they sell some as singles I am down.. I realized that hasbro is going to release multiples of everything to try and get everyone to own 20 snake eyes, storm shadows and cobra commanders... I am not down with that. I think I am going to stick with the single packs from now on....Otherwise its too expensive... i really don't want to spend more than $300 a year on these guys...

I just hope Breaker doesn't have a huge hole drilled into his face for the gum. I have some the SW figures that they have done that too and if you don't display them with whatever fits that hole they look really bad.

And for god's sake Hasbro, sculpt some short sleeve arms already.

-Breaker is missing a backpack and the wire is an antenna?

Or it could simply be a prototype and Hasbro's photo guys didn't have the pack available for the picture. We know SE's torso has the peg hole (from Hawk proto pics), so they at least have the option.

Well, 25th anniversary Stalker has the peg hole on his back as well despite not having any backpack of the sort.

I wish they'd just standardize the construction... ugh.

I will be picking up all the comic pack anyway but it this the only way to pick up Buzzer, Torch, Hawk V.1 and Breaker? Not really to stoked about the ultra bright figs either.
Not really to stoked about the comic 2-pack at all. I'd rather them sell Hawk v1 without Scarlett, period @grumpy@

For the most part I agree with you. I don't like the paint jobs on the repaints but I do enjoy the opportunity to get to read some of those old comics again. The silent issue with S.S. & S.E. was one of my favorite comics growing up. I just wish they at least gave us figures we won't already have a few copies of. I mean come on, by the time these come out there will be 3 Helmeted Cobra Commanders, 3 Scarlett's, 4 Destro's, 4 Snake Eye's, 5 Storm Shadows!!!!!, and 3 Dukes....come on that's double dipping in the extreme.

Another thing: I already go LADY DOOMSDAY with the CC/CT/B three pack @stoned@

Some look good, others look bad. None are worth buying.

Any character that hasnt been released before gets regular colors, only figures that were already released get the comic hue colors. The comic pack with Cobra Commander will be the helmet. They said at the con that they were going to do the hooded one but then realized he never wore the hood in that issue of the comic so they switched it to the battle helmet.

Like the Breaker a lot and the gum is a cool touch! The blue Destro looks nice for a repaint too.

Draven

Hasbro at the con said they were using comic hues of color. Thus the bright Scarlett, CC, Blueish SE and Destro. A different twist I think.

At least they didn't apply that color logic to Breaker, Torch, and Ripper!

Did anyone notice this time it is Hooded Cobra Commander? Will this be a variant or will he come with both heads?

Notice that what is hooded Cobra Commander? Or do you mean battle helmet Cobra Commander?

And I don't understand your second question.

In the BBTS picture it is Hooded Cobra Commander. (link)

Here.... (link) it is battle helmet Cobra Commander.

Destro apparently has a chrome head. He is blue because that is how black in the comic book world looked like.

Exactly correct. Hasbro at the con said they were using comic hues of color. Thus the bright Scarlett, CC, Blueish SE and Destro. A different twist I think.

You make an excellent point- about the double-dipping that is. I suppose the bottom line is that it costs much less to repaint an existing figure and get it to market than it does to create something whole cloth. It doesn't instill supreme confidence in me that Hasbro has the fans best interests at heart when they do stuff like this, but we also have to remember that a significant audience (meaning children) are discovering these for the first time, and deserve just as much chance as we adults at finding these- multiple versions of existing characters be damned.

Speaking of which; I remember finding GI Joe on the pegs as a kid, and thankfully so. If all the adult collectors (much more prevalent in today's world I would wager) had snagged them up first, I probably wouldn't be collecting them today- which would be a very bad thing indeed! :-)
