Immortals Dominate The Box Office This Weekend

The new Henry Cavill action drama "Immortals" opened at number 1 this week with an estimated take of $32 million.

The new Adam Sandler "Jack and Jill" comedy opened at number 2 with an estimated take $26 million while "Puss in Boots" fell to number 3 with an estimated take of $25.5 million, and the Eddie Murphy comedy "Tower Heist" fell to number 4 with an estimated take of $13.2 million.

The new Leonardo DiCaprio drama "J Edgar" opened at number 5 with a disappointing take of $11.4 million.

The ten estimated top-producing motion pictures for the weekend, per data collected as of Sunday, November 13, 2011 include:

1. Immortals: $32,000,000
2. Jack and Jill: $26,000,000
3. Puss in Boots: $25,500,000
4. Tower Heist: $13,200,000
5. J. Edgar: $11,470,000
6. A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas: $5,900,000
7. In Time: $3,407,000
8. Paranormal Activity 3: $3,625,000
9. Footloose (2011): $2,735,000
10. Real Steel: $2,000,000
