The Help Continues To Dominate At The Box Office

"The Help" takes number 1 for a third week in a row with an estimated take of $14.2 million while the new thriller "The Debt" opened at number 2 with an estimated take of $9.6 million.

The sci-fi horror "Apollo 18" opened at number 3 with an estimated take of $8.7 million while the new shark flick "Shark Night 3D" opened at number 4 with an estimated take of $8.6 million.

"Rise of the Planet of the Apes" rounded out the Top 5 this week with an estimated take of $7.8 million.

The ten estimated top-producing motion pictures for the weekend, per data collected as of Sunday, September 4, 2011 include:

1. The Help: $14,209,000
2. The Debt: $9,677,000
3. Apollo 18: $8,700,000
4. Shark Night 3D: $8,640,000
5. Rise of the Planet of the Apes: $7,800,000
6. Colombiana: $7,400,000
7. Our Idiot Brother: $5,182,000
8. Don't Be Afraid of the Dark: $4,941,000
9. Spy Kids: All the Time in the World: $4,637,000
10. The Smurfs: $4,000,000
