There Is A New Sheriff At The Box Office This Weekend, & His Name Is Rango

The new Johnny Depp animated comedy "Rango" opened at number 1 at the box office this weekend with an estimated take of $38 million while the Matt Damon thriller "The Adjustment Bureau" opened at number 2 with an estimated take of $20.9 million and Beastly opened at number 3 with an estimated take of $10.1 million.

The Owen Wilson comedy "Hall Pass" comes dropped to number 4 this week with an estimated take of $9 million and last week's #1 "Gnomeo and Juliet" rounds out the top 5 with an estimated take of $6.9 million.

The twelve estimated top-producing motion pictures for the weekend, per data collected as of Sunday, March 4, 2011 include:

1. Rango: $38,000,000
2. The Adjustment Bureau: $20,945,000
3. Beastly: $10,115,000
4. Hall Pass: $9,015,000
5. Gnomeo and Juliet: $6,912,000
6. Unknown: $6,620,000
7. The King's Speech: $6,501,000
8. Just Go With It: $6,500,000
9. I Am Number Four: $5,702,000
10. Justin Bieber: Never Say Never: $4,325,000
